| L. Cozza suggests locating this fragment in front of the Basilica Aemilia in the Forum (16e). It may represent the area near the small Temple of Janus known from ancient textual sources to have stood at the Forum end of the Argiletum. This fragment's smooth back and thickness match the identified fragments from that slab (16a-e). |
